So I see that I "lost" a client whom I thought was a good friend and a "family" member to another photographer in the area who charges three times more than I do, but yet this "good friend" wouldn't lift a finger to pay me ONE dime for any of her photo sessions. She's probably had a good 20 sessions with me. Including maternity ones EVERY month throughout her last pregnancy. But that's okay. :) I understand. This other photographer has better equipment than I have, because she has a husband and a family who give her whatever she wants. I on the other hand, don't have that luxury. Life's unfair for some. Especially for some who have a lot talent that can't show it because they don't have "family" or a "husband" who can buy them whatever they need.
As many of you other photographers know, it kind feels like a sock to the gut when someone that you've been friends with for so many years, gave them things for their children, including before their child was born, and then have them do something like this... Is... very disheartening.
When and I say WHEN I get better equipment this person best not ask me for lower prices or freebies, because guess what, hon? It isn't going to happen!!
